If your child is at home with COVID19 and is unwell they are not expected to do any schoolwork as they rest and recuperate. However, we realise some children, while they test positive with COVID19, may have no symptoms and may wish to complete learning activities from the Department of Education's Digital Learning Packs. If your child is isolating because they are a close contact then they will also be able to access the Digital Learning Packs when learning from home.
Learning from Home Packs
Students participating in Learning From Home can access the Department’s 2022 Digital Learning Packs via the website: https://education.nsw.gov.au/teaching-and-learning/learning-from-home/learning-at-home/2022-digital-learning-packs/primary
Each week we will post the link to the Digital Learning Packs in the newsletter for parents and students to access as needed.
Simply follow the links to your child’s current grade (e.g. Year One). There is a very short video explaining how to use the packs. Students are to start with the “Kangaroo Pack”. Each pack contains 5 days of learning activities. Please complete the work for the corresponding day of the week and work through the activities. Complete the learning activities in the pack before moving on to the next animal pack.
The Digital Learning Packs have been designed by the Department of Education and are aligned to the NSW Curriculum.
Sharing work with your child’s teacher
Your child may want to upload work to ClassDojo or their chosen class platform to show their teacher at the end of this week. Please note there is no expectation that your class teacher will provide feedback on the work posted. If you need assistance posting on ClassDojo portfolios please check out the following videos:
