Parents, carers and the community

As a parent or carer, you are an important part of our school community. We offer a range of services to support you and your family.

Parents and Citizens’ Association (P&C)

Our Parents and Citizens’ Association (P&C) is made up of parents and carers, teachers and community members. The P&C meets regularly to contribute to decision-making, developing policies and management plans as well as fundraising.

Our parents & citizens' association (P&C) brings the school community together. Parents, teachers and community members can help meet the needs of the school community and contribute to decisions about the school.

The P&C also raises funds that help finance improvements to our school and provide additional resources.

The Dural P&C is a tremendously successful organisation and is very well supported by the parent body of Dural as well as Dural Public School. The P&C is committed to ensuring that the best possible learning environment is created for all the students.

The P&C welcome all members of the school community to attend meetings held in the school staffroom on the 3rd Monday of every month commencing at 7.30pm.

There are many sub committees who look after various projects within the school. They are:

Grounds Maintenance

The 'working bees' are held on the Sunday of Week 5 every term. During this time many projects are completed to ensure that our school grounds remain outstanding in appearance.

Parents Group

This committee is very active in organising events for students and parents. Some activities are Mothers' and Fathers' Day stalls as well as social events such as a games night and a Girls night in. These events are a lot of fun as well as being great fundraisers for the school.

Uniform Shop

This very successful committee ensures that students and parents are provided with everything that they require for school uniforms and accessories. The uniform shop is open every Tuesday morning from 8.45am until 9.30am. Online orders can be placed at any time through Flexischools.

Canteen

Our school canteen operates on Monday, Wednesday and Friday. The canteen follows a healthy eating program. This service is supported by parent volunteers.

OOSH

This program gives students a safe and caring environment before and after school to support working families in the community. The OOSH building is located on school grounds and is provided by Jigsaw.
