Year 4 Walking Tour Excursion

Year 4 will be going on an excursion of The Rocks this term in alignment with their History unit. 

When: Thursday June 17th 2021 

Where: The Rocks Walking Tours The Rocks, Sydney Travel By bus. 

Time: Students need to be at school by 9:20am. The bus will leave at 9:30am sharp and will not wait for late comers. We will return at approximately 3pm.

Dress: Children need to wear sports uniform. Hats, sunblock and sturdy closed shoes are essential for students. Please apply insect repellent and sun-cream at home. 

Bring: A low litter lunch. There are no canteen/food facilities available – students need to bring a packed lunch. They will need recess, lunch, a drink bottle and a light raincoat in case of wet weather.

Learning Activities 

Students will be engaged in a range of outdoor learning activities that involve:
• First contact between the Eora and British
• The Aboriginal way of life before and after colonisation
• Significant people and events that fashioned the British penal colony
• Relevant sites in the development of Sydney
