Stage 3 Olympic Games Day

This term stage 3 students will be studying the Tokyo Olympics as part of our Geography unit. To celebrate the culmination of this unit of work, stage 3 will be participating in an Olympic Games Trivia Day. 

Date: Thursday 24th June, 2021. 

Location: Dural Public School Hall 

Teams: Students will form teams of 8-10. Students that are unable to form a team will be placed into teams by teachers. 

Cost: $3 per student (to be paid as part of the Term 2 invoice) This money will go towards supplying materials for the day, including the prize medals for first, second and third place. 

Attire: Each team will choose a theme related to the Olympic Games for the day. Students are allowed to dress according to their theme. For example, students may choose the theme Ancient Olympics and can dress in togas, or their theme may be Rugby Sevens and everyone in their team wears rugby gear. Creativity and originality for themes is encouraged! Students are also allowed to bring along table decorations that link to their chosen theme. Points will be awarded for the best dressed group and best decorated table. 

Activities: Olympic Games trivia (including flags, national anthems, symbols, athletes), physical challenges, design and build challenges.
